What They Say Who They Already Were

Diego Zermeño

Stories of those who wore the cap

I joined one of Con Gorra’s first groups and, honestly, it was one of the best trips I’ve ever taken. The atmosphere was incredible: young, adventurous, and full of people you connect with right away. It took me out of my comfort zone and into experiences I wouldn’t have tried on my own. Such an amazing trip.

Stories of those who wore the cap

We were visiting a friend in Mexico when he invited us to join an expedition in Baja. It wasn’t part of our plans, but it turned into such a special trip, and we’re so grateful we said yes.

The Con Gorra team made us feel welcome from the start. Everyone was friendly, patient, and happy to explain things whenever we had questions. As visitors from abroad, that made a big difference. You can tell they love sharing these experiences with people from all over the world.

Carlos Yael López by the sea in Baja

Stories of those who wore the cap

I’d never been to Baja. Whenever I thought about traveling, I usually pictured leaving Mexico, but this trip changed my perspective. Discovering those landscapes and sharing the adventure with this group made me realize how much I still have to explore here. I came home seeing Mexico through new eyes, with so much more love for my country.

Stories of those who wore the cap

I’m from Sonora, so I know the Sea of Cortez, but experiencing it with Con Gorra was something special. I loved the group dynamic and how personal everything felt. From the moment Mau and Jaime introduce themselves, you feel that connection. The attention is genuinely one to one, and that made the whole experience even more enjoyable.

Stories of those who wore the cap

I’m from New Zealand and have travelled to different countries, but I’d never been to Baja before. The landscapes were incredible, and I hadn’t imagined finding this much wildlife in Mexico. Some of the animals were familiar from New Zealand and Australia, yet experiencing them here felt completely different. It was something I’d never experienced before, and I loved it. I’d come back a thousand times.
